Summary
As a resident of the San Gabriel Valley, I'm glad that Rosemead's City Council decided to build a Wal-Mart Supercenter. Even though I live in Alhambra and there are a couple of large retailers and supermarkets here, having a Wal-Mart will increase product selection. It will also increase competition and help lower prices, especially in a working community like Rosemead.
I am disheartened by the attempt to recall two of the Rosemead city councilmen, Jay Imperial and Gary Taylor, for trying to improve their city. If the Wal-Mart is built, expect my family and I to shop in Rosemead often, which is what, I think, the Rosemead City Council had in mind when they voted to permit Wal-Mart to build in their city.See the full content of this document

Rosemead citizens are already lucky that they have one of the lowest tax rates in the San Gabriel Valley, a lot of it thanks to Imperial and Taylor.
