ROSEMEAD - U.S. wind energy facilities now exceed 10,000 megawatts in generating capacity, producing enough electricity to power more than 2.5 million homes a day, an industry report said.
"Wind energy is providing new electricity supplies that work for our country's economy, environment, and energy security," said Randall Swisher, director of the American Wind Energy Association, which compiled the study.
