Your article on Aug. 26 concerning Tecumseh Shackelford's retirement from the Mentoring and Partnership for Youth Development program at Muir High School gave well-deserved recognition to the enormous contribution he has made to the lives of many high school students.

We are continuing the program he started and need more volunteer adult male mentors to make the program available to as many students as possible. Interested men can contact me at (626) 398-1103.
