Kim Allen's challenge to her 100 students was simple: divide into teams and make three creative and tasty dishes in two hours that would be judged on creativity, presentation, taste and clean up.

Allen, the Small Business Management with Food ROP Teacher at Temple City High School, said her three classes took on the project - part of the class semester final exam - with such excitement that she was overwhelmed by their response.
