In response to your editorial (Dec. 6) regarding the No. 1 product sold by convenience stores (cigarettes):

I would bet money that it is not tobacco but liquor sales. Nobody seems concerned that our public enemy No. 1 is mind-altering drugs - alcohol included.

Why has it become so politically correct to beat up on the sellers of cigarettes when the sins of alcohol, drugs and overeating are much more detrimental to the public's health and well being than cigarettes ever were?
