Officials Work to Reach Family of Slain Woman Found in Angeles National Forest

Summary


County forensic officials have examined the body of a 31-year- old Latino woman found over the weekend near a mountain highway in the Angeles National Forest, but the final cause of death will not be released until further tests are completed in four to eight weeks, officials said Wednesday.

Craig Harvey of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner said the victim's name was still being withheld because officials had not yet notified her family, who lives out of state.
