County Officials Demolish Former 'Drug House' in Valinda

Summary


VALINDA - Dozens of county officials descended upon a residential street Thursday to demolish a dilapidated home that was converted into a bomb shelter, once housing drug dealers and gang members.

Los Angeles County officials were authorized to tear down the home, at 17446 Renault St., after it was deemed uninhabitable in Feb. 2008 for having underground tunnels, fortified rooms and other code violations.
