LOS ANGELES - The county's transit agency was allocated $210 million from the federal government this week to convert more than 60 miles of Southland highway on the 10 and 100 freeways into toll lanes.
The Metropolitan Transportation Agency has had a contract in place since last summer for the project, but had faced a process of state legislature and transportation commission approval that was completed this fall. The purpose of the project is to decrease traffic congestion during rush hour.See the full content of this document
