Mexican Fan Palm Choice 'Revisited' for Colorado Boulevard

Summary

PASADENA - A community meeting to "revisit" the current tree selection of Mexican fan palms for Colorado Boulevard between Catalina Avenue and the east city boundary at Sycamore Avenue in Pasadena will be held Aug. 12.

The meeting at 5:30 p.m. at Jackie Robinson Center, 1020 N. Fair Oaks Ave., will help decide whether to phase out the Mexican fan palms eventually or keep replenishing them as they decay or die, city officials said. The meeting will be hosted by the city's Urban Forestry Advisory Committee.
