Summary


The Station Fire was one of the largest fires in Los Angeles County's history. Before it had been extinguished, Los Angeles County Department of Public Works crews were making plans to clean and repair debris basins, keep local residents informed and evaluate the potential for winter rain damage.

Last week our foothills were slammed with an intense storm that brought several inches of rain and the very real prospect that dangerous mudslides and debris flows could threaten lives and property. Preparing for the storms and communicating with residents was the county's No. 1 priority.
