Summary
INGLEWOOD -- Defending champion Katdogawn will attempt to become the only two-time winner of the $150,000 Dahlia Handicap on Monday when the 23rd running of the Grade II turf event for fillies and mares takes place on closing day of Hollywood Park's autumn meet.
Katdogawn, a 4-year-old filly who recorded a nose victory at odds of 7-1 in last year's renewal of the 1 1/16-mile stakes race, faces no easy task this year. Although second four times, she has not won in nine starts since the 2003 Dahlia. She likely will be third choice on Monday behind Belleski, a winner of her last three races, and Janeian, who defeated Katdogawn by two lengths in Hollywood Park's Royal Heroine Stakes on July 3.See the full content of this document
