Summary


Southern California could be running on "critically thin operating margins" this summer if temperatures are hotter than normal, the state's electric grid operator said.

In its 2005 Summer Operations Assessment, the California Independent System Operator said emergency mitigation measures will be taken if supply shortages occur.
