Epa, City to Clean Contaminated Water

WHITTIER - The city is working with the federal Environmental Protection Agency to clean up contaminated ground water at the former site of Skateland at Putnam Street and Washington Boulevard, officials said Wednesday.

The Planning Commission Monday approved the installation of privately owned pipelines within the public right-of-way on the streets for the Omega Groundwater Treatment Plant.
