Summary


The Dodgers, who already have four key players on the 15-day disabled list, have been hit by the injury bug yet again. Reliever Giovanni Carrara was unavailable on Tuesday night and will be unavailable again tonight because of a strained left hamstring he suffered when he slipped on the infield grass during Tuesday's season opener.

Carrara slipped twice while trying to field a bunt by Marquis Grissom in the eighth inning. When he finally got to the ball, Carrara had to hurry the underhand throw to first. He wound up throwing the ball up the right-field line, allowing Edgardo Alfonzo to score from second to put the game away.
