COVINA - Computer records from a crossing arm indicate the arm was functioning properly when two people were killed after their car was struck by a Metrolink train, officials said Tuesday.

Earl Brown, 53, and his niece, Raven Smith, 10, both of Covina were killed in the accident. Brown's daughter Christina Brown, 12, was injured in the accident that occurred at 2 p.m. Sunday.
