LOS ANGELES - A reverse 911 system called Alert LA County can now notify more than 7 million listed and unlisted telephone numbers if there is danger from wildfires, earthquakes or other calamities.
Residents can also go to the county Web site www.lacounty.gov to add cellular telephone numbers and e-mail addresses to the Alert LA County system. Alert LA County will cost nearly $2 million for the next five years.See the full content of this document
