Texas running back Cedric Benson caused a stir earlier this season when he said in an ESPN radio interview that he would rather win the Heisman Trophy than lead the Longhorns to victory over Oklahoma, the Red River rival the Longhorns have lost to the past five seasons.

But the first Texas back to log four 1,000-yard seasons said Thursday that the Heisman snub he received in early December is not a motivating factor for him heading into Saturday's Rose Bowl.
