Covina police arrested a man Tuesday on suspicion of attempting to burglarize a home with a 17-inch screwdriver, authorities said.

Jerome Belser Jr., 28 of Covina was arrested about 7 a.m. Tuesday within half a block of a home in the 100 block of West Dexter Street he is accused of trying to burglarize, said Covina police Lt. Tim Doonan.
