Animal Shelter Expands to Accommodate Economic Slowdown

PASADENA - Two large trailers were delivered to the Pasadena Humane Society this morning, to help shelter the rising number of animals given up by owners due to the economic downturn.

The trailers, which were purchased for about $140,000, will combine to form a 44 by 24 foot "modular unit" that could house about 80 additional house cats.
