Burglary Suspect Caught in Act

WHITTIER - A man who broke into a clothing store ran from police but was later arrested Monday. An officer checking out an alarm at a business in the 14200 block of Lambert Road at 12:59 a.m. saw a smashed window. He also spotted a man inside the store tossing clothes out the broken window, Whittier police Lt. Randy Inman said.

Body Found Was Alhambra Senior

ALHAMBRA - Coroner's officials on Monday identified the body found underneath an Atlantic Boulevard overpass as a 91-year-old Alhambra man. Ed Winter, spokesman for the Los Angeles County Department of the Coroner said the autopsy is pending. He said the case was reported as a possible suicide.
