6,500 Show Up for Free Thanksgiving Meal in Pasadena
PASADENA - A record number of people turned out for Union Station Homeless Services' Thanksgiving Day community feast, which targeted low-income and homeless families. More than 2,000 volunteers served nearly 6,500 people a Thanksgiving meal. Aside from the high number of volunteers and hungry attendees, there was also an overwhelming amount of food donated by those wanting to help.
El Monte Men Arrested for Strong-Arm Robbery in Pasadena
PASADENA - Police arrested three El Monte men for strong-arm robbery early Thursday morning at parking structure at 33 E. Green St, officials said. Three women and a man from Los Angeles were walking to their car parked in the lot around 1:40 a.m. when they found El Monte residents Manuel Enriquez, 21, Richard Enriquez, 22, and Ryan Gonzalez, 25 in their vehicle, said Pasadena Police Department acting Lt. Chris Russ.
Ex-Railroad Worker From El Monte Awarded $48 Million by Judge
LOS ANGELES -- A former Union Pacific railroad signalman was awarded $48 million after a work-related car accident left him a quadriplegic. A Superior Court judge on Tuesday approved a jury award made to Eric Doi, who was injured last year while in Tucson, Ariz., on a work assignment.
